CHALLANS ISSUED IN GHAZIABAD FOR VIOLATING TRAFFIC PROTOCOLS

The world has been dealing with the pandemic for about two years now, and India is no exception to it. The government, central and the state, is trying very hard to curb the situation. The government has imposed many guidelines for the country to follow. The Police are working day and night to make sure that these guidelines are followed.
Despite all the efforts made by the government, the Police, and the public, there are still a large number of people who are taking the Covid very lightly. Ghaziabad holds a large number of those people.
●A total of 20,000 challans were issued by the Ghaziabad Police for various violations of the Covid rule from 22 May to 28 May 2021.
●The Ghaziabad Police have issued a huge amount of challan for violating the covid instructions, and collected a fine of Rs 22.8 lakh, from 22 May 2021 to 28 May 2021, alone.
Wearing masks reduces the spread of the infection to a certain limit; hence it was made mandatory in the initial stages of the pandemic. Yet, a huge number of people were found without masks in Ghaziabad.
●Almost 3300 challans were issued by the Police in Ghaziabad during the particular week for not wearing masks, even during the second covid wave. This resulted in a collection of Rs, 3.46 lakhs as a penalty just for this violation alone.
