The state government of UP has now made it mandatory for all vehicles to register a High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP). After Delhi, CM Yogi Aditynath has also mandated HSRP in UP, for all kinds of vehicles.
High-Security Number Plate is a new type of license plate. These number plates are made of aluminum and hold unique detail, except for the registration number itself.
●All categories of vehicles in Uttar Pradesh have to get registered HSNP for their vehicles. Ample time has been given by the Chief Minister of UP for each vehicle of the state to get their HSRP.
●Since people are not taking this seriously, Noida’s Traffic department decided to give a challan of Rs 5500 from every vehicle that has no HSRP.
●This has been applicable in Uttar Pradesh, Noida after 15 April 2021.
●The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that all vehicles sold in India before April 2019 will have to get HSRP.
According to the Gautam Budh Nagar district, not even 50% of the total vehicles have been installed with HSRP. There are about 7.5 lakh vehicles registered in the district and around 2.5 lakh vehicles are running here after being registered in other districts. Hence, the state is now focusing more on getting vehicles registered as HSRP as soon as possible.
