INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES A NEW E-FILING PORTAL FOR TAXPAYERS

ABOUT E-FILING PORTAL-
E-Filing as the name suggests is an online web portal for tax-related work. This portal enables the taxpayers to file various documents that are needed to be submitted to the Income Tax Department. This E-filing portal has made filing of the documents in the Income-tax department very easy for the taxpayers. The taxpayers can not only file documents but also various complaints or requests to the Income Tax Department for such related matters.
INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES A NEW E-FILING PORTAL-
● The Income Tax Department has recently announced that the Department will be launching a new E-filing portal.
● The E-Filing Portal will be launched on 7th June 2021.
● By this portal, the taxpayers will be able to file Income Tax Returns and perform various other tax-related works through this portal.
Officials of the Income Tax Department said that this new e-filing portal will be more user-friendly than the previous one.
SHUT DOWN OF THE PREVIOUS E-FILING PORTAL-
In regards to the new E-Filing Portal that the Income Tax Department is launching on the 7th June 2021, the current E-Filing Portal will remain shut for six days this month.
● The existing Portal will remain shut from 1st June to 6th June 2021.
● The officials said that if there is any Income Tax related work, the taxpayers will need to wait till the 6th of June.
FEATURES OF THE NEW E-FILING PORTAL-
● The new E-filing Portal will be made user-friendly compared to the previous portal.
● All the actions and submissions of the particular taxpayers will be visible on the single dashboard, making it easier to continue from there.
● Free Income Tax Return software is available online as well as offline. There is also a section where anyone can ask questions about Income Tax Returns, filing of details, and many more tax-related areas.
● The new portal also has set up new call centers where all tax-related queries will be discussed.
● All the key functions on the desktop will also be available on mobile phones, making the new E-Filing portal mobile-friendly.
