Section 194 D : Helmets

The Motor Vehicles Act, section 194-D which was first implemented in 1988 is registered as no helmet while driving a two-wheeler. Anyone who is caught driving a two-wheeler without wearing a helmet would get a punishment of paying a fine of one thousand rupees and blacklisting the license for three months. Earlier before the new rules, the fine amount was only one hundred rupees. Also,there are most states where wearing a helmet for the passenger in the back is also required or they will also have to pay a fine amount same as discussed above.
