Section 194 E : Not providing way for emergency vehicles

The Motor Vehicles Act, section 194-E which was first implemented in 1988 is listed as blocking emergency vehicles’ way. Anyone is found not giving way for an emergency vehicle or blocking their way intentionally, then they would be punished under this section also they will have to pay an amount of ten thousand rupees. Also, this rule is new in MVA, it was not before in the old rules.
Always give way or make a way to give any emergency vehicle like an ambulance, fire truck, or police cars with a siren on, when the siren is on it means any of the vehicles is in a rush or hurry because of some situation. Blocking their way on purpose may lead to more punishment term or a fine amount may increase if the offense under this section is serious or gone too far.
