Secondly, if you commit another offense, you could face a fine of up to Rs 10,000. along with it up to two years in prison.
Drunk driving – on the spot fines
For drunk driving, the very first offense carries a penalty of up to six months in jail and/or a fine of Rs 10,000, whereas repeat offenses carry a penalty of up to Rs 15,000 and a two-year prison sentence.
Fines will be imposed for red light jumping, texting while driving, collisions, racing, and stunt biking, driving uninsured cars, and illegal parking.
